The 1990s were a great decade for adventure gamers thanks in large part to the efforts of the fine folks at LucasArts. From the creation of the first Maniac Mansion in 1987 to the last Monkey Island game in 2000, no other games (with the possible exception of Myst) defined or popularized the adventure genre as well.

Combining intriguing stories, a stylish production and loads of irreverent humor, these games are still fondly remembered by those old enough to have played them and are thankfully being reintroduced to a new audience thanks to Telltale's recent remake of The Secret of Monkey Island.
